Giorgio Blumer

My academic path has focused on the natural sciences with a focus on laboratory work. The researches I’m pursuing focus on evolutionary developmental biology (evo-devo) and developmental biology. My studies have primarily involved echinoderms and ascidians, which serve as key model organisms for understanding developmental and evolutionary mechanisms. I am currently pursuing a PhD program investigating the effects of anthropogenic underwater noise on sessile invertebrates from an ecology, behavior, and molecular point of view.
