Giuseppa Buscaino

CNR Researcher since 2007, she founded the Bioacoustics Group at the CNR-IAS in Capo Granitola in 2010. She is the head of the Marine Acoustics Laboratory at the same institute.

She studies the temporal and spatial variations and the impact of noise on marine species through experimental tests in tanks/marine test sites and by analyzing historical acoustic recording series maintained by the laboratory in different Mediterranean and Arctic ecosystems. Recently, she has been studying the noise from floating offshore wind turbines and its impact on the soundscape.

She is the author of over 110 ISI publications.
