Maria Ceraulo

Maria Ceraulo is an ethologist with experience in marine bioacoustics, soundscape ecology and noise measurements. She got experience in planning, analysing and discussing results of experiments in controlled and natural environments about marine soundscape ecology, noise impact in marine animal behaviour and bioacoustics studies.

She worked from 2012 in Lab of Bioacoustics (National Research Council, CNR, Italy) being involved for planning, data collecting and analysis of several international projects in marine bioacoustics of vertebrates and invertebrates, with a particular focus on soundscape analysis and effects of noise. She has experience on passive acoustic monitoring and marine mammal surveys. She worked in extreme environments. She worked for interchanges research projects among Italy and Argentina, actively collaborating with University of Mar del Plata, University of Buenos Aires, CONICET and UTN, in bioacoustics and soundscape ecology studies.
